Emek has been referred to as "The Thinking Man's Poster Artist" and has made his mark, along with his cohorts in PNE, by creating special posters for live concerts around the world.

Emek’s style thrives on attention to detail, coupled with layers of meaning in the artwork. His infusion of socio-political commentary into pop culture imagery has made his work instantly recognizable in the field. Emphasizing craftsmanship, his work is still hand-drawn in the tradition of the classic psychedelic posters from the 1960s. Born in the 70s, Emek also was strongly influenced by the DIY punk flyers of the 80s, many of which which also were hand drawn.

Over the last two decades, Emek has created hundreds of posters for some of the top alternative bands, like Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, System of a Down, Jane's Addiction, The Flaming Lips, to name a few. Emek's work has been shown in galleries across the United States, in Berlin, London and Tokyo. He has been featured in dozens of magazines and books and was interviewed on CNN. But his greatest personal achievement in the field was when he helped found PNE with his two best friends and artistic co-conspirators, Justin Hampton and Jermaine Rogers.

Emek also comes from from a unique family of five artists.
